Why Oral Care Is Important?
A new study, which 500 scientists from all over the planet collaborated in, has revealed that instances of dental disease have increased by 20% in the last 20 years. Not only that, but the study concludes that half of the world’s population has poor oral health.
Yes, that’s 3.5 BILLION people with poor oral health, and the study didn’t include minor cavities and minor gum disease!
Researchers are blaming longer lives, unhealthy eating, processed foods and sugary drinks as the main reason for the fact that the world’s teeth are in a state of decay.
The research was compiled by researchers at Queen Mary University in London, and looked at data complied by 500 scientists over a 20 year period.
